A support system for your mattress is required. We recommend the Helix Foundation to provide correct support and avoid sagging over time. If you prefer to use something different, we recommend using a bunkie board with a box spring, or any support system with a firm, flat surface and thick slats no wider than 5.5 inches apart, which can cause sagging and void your warranty.

"The Sunset is by far the best mattress I have an ever slept on. I had originally ordered a Midnight after reading reviews. I did not sleep well on the midnight and exchanged it for the Sunset. If you are a side sleeper this is your mattress. Not sure why they market the Midnight for a side sleeper. Exchange was smooth and Helix stands behind their product and the exchange process."

"I never had lower back pain in my life but now have constant problems after sleeping on this mattress for about a month. I'm a side sleeper and weigh less than 130 pounds and yet this mattress still didn't provide sufficient support. I switched to the Midnight Luxe but it's too early to say whether that will make a difference."

"The helix sunset luxe is an incredible bed. We tried the midnight luxe first because of the popularity and it was way too firm for us. We were skeptical about helix after this, but the return process through our sleep warranty was smooth and we were able to swap it out for a Sunset luxe and it’s the best bed we’ve ever owned. Perfect blend of soft, pillow top laying on a cloud feel with great support. My wife who likes very firm beds also fell in love with this one (I like softer beds). Highly Recommend this!"

Amazing Customer Service. Great Quality Mattress

"I had the Midnight Luxe for a while and it was just a little too firm for me. Helix sent me a free plush topper, which helped, but over time as everything broke in more it still wasn't quite right. At that point I was past my sleep trial, so I didn't expect much when I emailed them. They ended up sending me a completely different mattress, the Sunset Luxe, for free. I couldn't believe it. The return process was super easy, and I really like my new mattress. Helix rates the Midnight Luxe as a 6 and the Sunset Luxe as a 3 on their Firmness Scale, so I was worried the Sunset would be really soft — but it's not. In my experience it's only about 1 to 1. 5 points softer than the Midnight Luxe. It was not the huge overcorrection I was afraid of. The customer service alone makes me want to recommend them to everyone. Would absolutely buy from Helix again."

Above and beyond our expectations!

"Sleeping on a cloud. That was our hopes and our hopes came true. Our last bed was a sealy posturepedic, but we found it was too stiff for our weight. My wife and I are 170 lbs, side sleepers, so we’ve wanted to go with a softer mattress so our spine could stay aligned. We are pleased that the Helix Sunset has given us what we’d hoped for. It’s been a huge upgrade for us. The quality is luxurious. We received our bed in less than a week. We are in NY. I thought that was really impressive. Set up was easy, beats getting a mattress from a box store. I was also surprised that the manufacture smell went away within hours, because I figured being sealed in plastic would make take a while to air out. We slept on the bed the first day about 6 hours after unboxing. The bed is really well made, no weak spots, super uniform. I don’t feel like I’m in a hole when my wife is cuddling me. We are 3 months in and very pleased. Our sleep is great. Thank you Helix!"
