What cooling features are available in the Aurora Luxe?

The Aurora Luxe is designed with the most advanced fabric on the market, delivering GlacioTex™ benefits on contact. While the average skin temperature is 91 degrees, the ideal skin temperature for sleep is 88 degrees. Cooling gel beads liquefy at higher temperatures to deliver relief; those same beads solidify at lower temperatures to ensure the perfect sleep environment.

Additionally, the mattress features copper—a highly conductive material that naturally draws heat out and away from the body—along with cooling gel treatments in the comfort foam layer and the tertiary memory foam layer. The result is the most elite cooling mattress on the market.

How much weight will the mattress support?

All Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to support up to 950 pounds. If you or your sleep partner weigh more than 300 pounds—and prefer more substantial support—you can check out the Titan Plus Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding.

What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 4" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms.

Are these mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. Brooklyn Bedding also uses higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

"I love this mattress! It’s exactly what I was hoping for. I went with medium firmness and the pillow top. It’s not too firm, not too soft. I sink into the pillow top just enough to feel comfy, but feel supported as well. I don’t know how they do it but it had very minimal off-gassing when I first received it. Hardly any smell at all which was a very pleasant surprise. I’m a hot sleeper and have had zero issues with being too hot so far. I’ve been sleeping on it for a little over a week and have zero regrets. I would absolutely recommend the aurora luxe."

"Absolutely love this mattress! My wife is a hot sleeper, so a cool mattress was our #1 requirement. This mattress sleeps so much cooler than our old spring mattress. It's extremely comfortable as well. My wife is mostly a side sleeper and I sleep on my back, wide and stomach at times. Works great for any position in my opinion. Came in a box and inflated really quick. We slept on it several hours later. Within a couple nights we knew we'd be keeping it!"

Very good deep support with

"Very good deep support with a nice pillow top that stays cool during the summer months up here in usda zone 6a to 7. Coil support system is solid and transfer of vibration and motion from side to side is not terrible even when coming from a full memory foam platform. Little bit heavy for a king to get up to 2nd floor unassisted. Best off planning to use a wheeled dolly with two movers. Save your back to fight another day. After two months of regular use I’d say it was a very good purchase. If you will be two side sleepers or back/side combo sleepers who need active cooling to get a decent night’s sleep this is an excellent choice. If there will be a stomach sleeper in the mix it could be a little iffy for that individual’s needs; by which I mean snoring and neck discomfort may be more pronounced based on feedback from my occasionally stomach sleeping spouse."

I spent an entire day

"I spent an entire day shopping for mattresses, but my gut told me to just order from Brooklyn Bedding. I did lots of research and watched mattress reviews online, and ultimately it sounded like the Aurora Luxe was the best choice. I've been sleeping on it for about a month and absolutely love it! I rotate like a rotisserie chicken when I sleep, and the firmness of the mattress allows me to be comfortable falling asleep on my stomach/side, and waking up on my side/back. As far as the cooling tech goes, it's alright, but I've never found a cooling mattress that actually works, so I wasn't expecting much anyway. I supplement it with a cooling blanket. The only other slight negative is that it does sink quite a bit if you sit on the edge. Some people care about this. I don't. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase. One of the best mattresses I've slept on, for sure."
