To put that in perspective, next level firmness could only be achieved by sleeping directly on the floor with no pressure point relief.

Is it possible to make the Plank Firm mattress by Brooklyn Bedding firmer?

The flippable design of the Plank Firm mattress allows you to choose your ideal firmness level. A .75” quilted top layer, patterned with continuous stitching, ensures zero loft for an ultra-firm sleep experience. Or, flip the mattress, and a .75” quilted layer, patterned with tack-and-jump stitching, creates minimal loft for a firm sleep experience. Next level firmness can be achieved by eliminating the mattress altogether and sleeping directly on the floor. You will, however, lose some of the pressure point relief that comes with sleeping on an actual mattress.

The Plank Firm by Brooklyn Bedding is an all-foam mattress—and the firmest sleep experience on the market. The Plank Firm features a breathable quilted top on either side of the mattress, coupled with open cell technology throughout the foam layers, to help ensure a neutral temperature environment.

For even greater temperature moderation, a GlacioTex™ Cooling Cover can be sewn into the Plank Firm mattress as an optional feature—just look for the “ADD GLACIOTEX™ COOLING COVER” option on the right side of the product page when making your selection. Once you add this feature to your mattress, the cooling top panel will be sewn into the surface of the mattress to deliver ultimate cooling on contact.

"Had our mattress now 3 weeks and it is very comfortable for my husband and I. The firmness is perfect for his back and as a stomach/side sleeper it is also comfortable for me. We did pay extra for the cooling mattress protecter which actually does feel nice as we approach summer. Setup was fine (came vacuum sealed all rolled up) and we opened it on the bed frame. We did let it sit for a day before we slept on it."

"Love it! This is the third Plank mattress that I bought. The first we bought for my brother-in-law who has a bad back, he says his back feels much better now. We bought one for my son because it has two sides (firm and less firm) so you get a choice of firmness plus twice the use, just flip it over when one side starts to wear out. He uses a foam topper to make it extra comfy. Now we bought this third Plank mattress for us. I like that you can order it online and it gets delivered compressed in a box (easy to get thru a doorway). In compressed state, we were able to set it off to the side until we were ready to use it, then when you unroll it, it re-inflates to full size - convenient! All three of us use a tall metal frame with horizontal support slats - no need for box spring"
