What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 4" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms.

Are these mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. Brooklyn Bedding also uses higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. "First time buying anything other than a high end standard spring mattress. I’m surprised at how much the edges sink when you sit on the bed- I feel like I’ll slip off and I’m 120lbs. I spend some time sitting on my bed like this (reading or talking on the phone) so this is pretty annoying. I had to get used to the memory foam for sleeping took about 3 weeks. The bed feels comfortable to sleep in, not as supportive as my ideal- a little marshmallow-y, sinking feeling. I think I’m just a spring mattress girl. :("

"Incredibly comfortable mattress — and this is coming from someone who usually preferred a firm mattress due to lower back and hip pain. I decided to try this medium-firm mattress because of the unique features — hybrid construction, self-contained mattress topper, copper-infused structure, and no need for a box spring. I was still skeptical whether a medium-firm mattress would suffice for my back and hip problems, but it turned out to be just what I needed. The only downside: The recommended foundation’s legs are heavy, tapered, and not compatible with casters — so when I move the bed to change the bedding, they literally carve a track into the wooden plank floor. But that’s not relevant to a mattress review, so it remains at five stars."
