It is recommended to avoid the use of a traditional box spring directly under your mattress. Instead, we suggest using either a solid platform bed or a slatted foundation with firm, flat and thick slats, to properly support your Birch mattress. No matter which support system you choose, the slats should be no wider than 5.5 inches apart, as that could cause sagging and could potentially void your warranty.

"I love the mattress and it is very comfortable to sleep on. I am not happy, however with the customer service. The discount that showed while I was shopping did not apply when I actually checked out. I called and was told I would be given a credit and was given an additional code for one item I had forgot to order. The code did not work and the credit was never applied. I chatted while online and was given another code that did work, however I was never given the credit for the initial discount. That never applied."

Good- but edge issues

"Personally I find it really nice. The springs make it nice and firm. My husband however, feels he is stiff waking up some days. The biggest downside is that some of the sides edges are not sturdy, so when you sit on the edge to say, put on a sock, you feel like you're going to slide off."

"I so want to love this bed, but the topper is insufficient for the FIRMNESS of the bed. I am waking more often nightly because my hips and shoulders are aching (side sleeper). It's just awful! On the plus side, however, is that the bed stays cool. I do not know what to do! Help, please!"

Disappointed 😟

"I really had high hopes for this mattress after having searched for one that was non-toxic with great reviews. Seemed like the perfect match & couldn’t wait to get it. However after having it a few months I’m less than impressed. You can see and feel the coils on the sides. The mattress sags where I have slept and I’m now trying to sleep further on the other side to even it out and I’m just rolling back into the sag. It isn’t comfortable either, doesn’t have any form to it, just kind of flat and stiff but not firm if that makes any sense. It almost feels like it’s an old mattress that needs to be replaced except it’s brand new 😭 the bed is for my son but I have been using it to test it out. I can’t wait to get back to mine 😬 I wanted a non toxic choice for him and it’ll be fine it, it just doesn’t compare to what I’m used to. This wasn’t cheap but feels like it is. I also can’t believe it won awards?! Very confused. Ugh"

Meh is for mattress

"We bought this mattress because of its materials and certifications. the mattreess feels thin and unsupportive. I weight 180 lbs and when I sit on the mattress on our platform bed I can feel the harshness of the slats below. I would send it back if the options for decent organic certified mattresses weren't so expensive and mediocre."
