What cooling features are available in the Aurora Luxe?

The Aurora Luxe is designed with the most advanced fabric on the market, delivering GlacioTex™ benefits on contact. While the average skin temperature is 91 degrees, the ideal skin temperature for sleep is 88 degrees. Cooling gel beads liquefy at higher temperatures to deliver relief; those same beads solidify at lower temperatures to ensure the perfect sleep environment.

Additionally, the mattress features copper—a highly conductive material that naturally draws heat out and away from the body—along with cooling gel treatments in the comfort foam layer and the tertiary memory foam layer. The result is the most elite cooling mattress on the market.

How much weight will the mattress support?

All Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to support up to 950 pounds. If you or your sleep partner weigh more than 300 pounds—and prefer more substantial support—you can check out the Titan Plus Mattress by Brooklyn Bedding.

What type of foundation works best for this mattress?

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 4" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms.

Are these mattresses flippable?

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. Brooklyn Bedding also uses higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

What determines the firmness level in a mattress?

Several factors can contribute to a mattress’s firmness level—including foam density, transition foams and coil systems. "I’m finding the Aurora Luxe Cooling mattress to be just what I needed; I’m sleeping better and waking up with less body aches. I opted for the soft version and its cradling comfort has me looking forward to bedtime. I’m not so sold on the basic foundation that I ordered. It’s hard squared edges cause difficulty in tucking in the bedding without bruising the fingers, and the wood slats provided appear to be wrenched from a pallet."

"I ordered the Aurora Luxe Cooling, initially when I laid on it, I was afraid it would be too soft but it’s perfect. Im a side sleeper and on this mattress I sleep so well and so deep, I no longer wake up in the morning with lower back tenderness or aches in my shoulders and hips. This mattress cradles you but at the same time supports where it’s needed. Also, great customer service, they honored a sale price that came out after I ordered my mattress, I emailed them and they quickly responded with the discount. The delivery was fast and there was only a slight chemical odor when I unpacked it which dissipated quickly, didn’t even need to open a window. My daughter also bought the mattress recommended for stomach sleepers and she loves it too. Im so happy with this mattress and highly recommend a Brooklyn Bedding mattress."
